The images are of Machu Picchu, an Inca gem built over a thousand years ago with consideration for its' environment and to withstand the unpredictable forces of nature. The windows and doors are built in a trapezoid shape which allows the walls to effectively flex, helping relieve stress and so survive earthquakes. The Spanish conquistadors found Inca architecture to be primitive and built cathedrals that were pretty and impressive right up to the time of the next earthquake.
